3/365: Day Old Bread

Sunday.....procrastinating doing any work, first full week of classes starts this week. Should have been studying all day. Didn't. Oh well.

Apparently driving perpendicular to a median half on and half off the median won't get you anything but totaling your car, being extricated from it, and then becoming a trauma alert yourself only to turn out to be fine. Typical day.
Made a big fish and rice dinner at Bmar and invited Meatsauce and JC over to sit at the round table and eat. JC taught me that apparently Jimmy John's sells day old loaves of bread for only 50 cents that are still perfectly delicious. I learned something new today.

2/365: "Spring" cleaning

Though it was my 24 hour saturday shift at squad today, I had to miss the first part to go to intubation day for Medic class. Before the class started, 8 hours promised to be a long, long day, but after learning how to intubate and figuring out that it was incredibly fun and awesome, it turned out to be a great time. Went to CARS afterwards to find the building in complete shambles, but for awesome reasons. "Spring cleaning" was scheduled today and the whole building was getting a new makeover. Over 50 people showed up to help, and everyone was making great progress cleaning everything top to bottom and doing all sorts of projects. By the end of the day, the building was spotless and almost the whole interior was repainted with a great color scheme. Totally exciting.

1/365: Queensland Salad

Decided Last week after inspiration from a friend, to start taking a picture and writing a blurb about each day for a year. I guess all cliche and what not, I'm at that point in life where people say that it's good to remember all the small things. So I've decided this will by my project for this year.

Studied for the MCAT all day today per usual, only 1 week to go which is so close after so much anticipation. After S.pants went to a dinner function with his parents, Shumar and I decided to adventure out to dinner. Our minds were made up until Walker decided he had a gift card to outback, making claims that they have the "best salad ever"- blasphemy if you consider that Outback is a steakhouse. Sprinkle also decided to join us, and made the wise choice of ordering cheese fries which may have been overlooked without her calling this to our attention. Later, after much scrutiny, Walker convinced us to try the Queensland salad.....and he was right. Best salad ever.
