After having a stressful night at squad facing the reality of impending snow on my mcat and getting a hotel, etc, woke up this morning to leave to find a package on my computer. One of my awesome preceptees decided to give me a present for helping him realize that we do squad for the patients, not for med school applications or anything else. The surprise included a card, a squirrel pouch, and a chipotle gift card (which he so eloquently supported with the fact that, "no normal person has an unused chipotle gift card laying around"). Best. Day Brightener. Ever. Especially knowing that we do meaningfully get through to people on occasion....
